Ahh, and here's the kind of complete ignorance of our (XJT) situation and business plan that makes threads like this so entertaining to read.
Our management didn't sign any CPA that allowed CAL to take airplanes. Quick history lesson: We were wholly owned and then spun off. The terms of our...
Thank God we've got such experts on this board. Seriously, if you took two seconds to compare our (XJT) situation and plan to that of Indy and Midway, you'd see that there really isn't a comparison.
On the backs of their employees - which worked pre 9/11 when you wouldn't expect to be at a regional for more than a few years. Times have changed now and for many the regional level might be the final stop on the career path.
Smart companies like XJT realize they need their employees for the...
Wrong. Taking care of your employees is rule #1 if you want to survive and have employee loyalty. I managed a customer service department for a marketing company for 3 years and if you wanted peak performance from your subordinates, you damned well had better taken care of them. Last time I...

I'm pretty sure that you cannot be denied employment if you qualify for a first class medical. That doesn't mean that just because you have a first class you are good, but rather that you meet the health requirements prescribed for a first-class medical.
My sim partner from CoEx and I are good friends and he used to fly for Amerijet. He has told me that they hire you into a seat as a career. In other words, they hire off the street Captains, F/Os and, F/E's and that's what you remain throughout your career, no advancement.
False Alarm
Just went to one of Houston's TV channel's website. They are now reporting that knife the flight attendant saw was no more than a pocket comb.
Okay, I can't take any more. It looks like Continental Express won't be calling me back anytime soon and I can't stand not flying. If any of you know of anything available, please PM me. I have 1620TT/310 Multi of which about 200 is turbine. I don't care what it is, or what I have to do for it...
