This site has degenerated into nothing but posers, flamebaiters, negativity, "my company is better than your comany" posts, "your company is crap and is bringing down the industry" posts, banned users re-registering countless dozens of times to spew the same crap over and over again...etc..etc... -

Hey...I live in SeaTac (technically) just down the hill off Military and 216th...albeit it is sort of Kent (Kent Schools) and sort of Des Moines (Des Moines post office). All new construction homes, very nice neighborhood and a VERY short drive to the Training Center. I guess it all depends on... -

Your thread title is a bit misleading. Horizon pilots may be based at any of their three domiciles depending on equipment assigned and need. Dash 8-200s are based in PDX and SEA, Q400s in PDX only (for now...so they say), and the CRJ in PDX and DEN. It just so happens that the corporate...- flx757

When I was at AirTran, I was one of those who bid CDOs exclusively, even when I could hold a regular line. I was senior enough to bid the good ones....MYR, JAX, etc....where I would check in around 2030, fly 45 mins to the desitnation, have over 7 hours on the ground, then fly the 45 mins back... -

Regular line holders get a min of 13 days off per bid period (35 days in a bid period). Reserve line holders...12 days off per 35 day bid period. -

For what it's worth, the prospect of a lot of people leaving, either through early retirement or going to another company, doesn't seem to be bothering them too much. Or at least that's the face they put on. We have been notified that they expect a huge training push and are prepared to deal... -
