You guys sound like Comair 10 years ago. The big bad vastly superior pilots that are going to bully everyone into a good contract. If any of you had a half a brain you'd study the last several decades of the aviation industry. Then maybe you'd realize just how cyclical this industry is. The regional model is changing. It grew quickly with the introduction of the ERJ's and CRJ's when gas was cheap. Now it's going back the other direction where they will become a place to get some experience and hopefully move on. Regionals wer'nt supposed to be career stops, but because of the last decade it became that way for many. That makes it very difficult to compete with younger airlines like Compass or Gojets.

You are right. And what we "superior pilots" are saying is... If you won't compensate us for what we do, then shut it down. We are done fighting over the lowest dollar. These companies that we work for made these deals without any input from us. They made these deal expecting that they could keep coming back and taking more and more. NOW IT STOPS.

Wms, I like all that. Add in an overhaul to how reserves are treated. Some pairing control and improvements,

5 hr min day! This is one of the most important. Fortaw has already mentioned the new rest rules will require us to fly an average extra 2 days a month. We will be down to 11 days off for 75 hours!!!!!!

I wish we could drag this thing out. We are negotiating the past. In less than 6 months we will be in a totally new environment. We have no real idea of what we need to ask for. Why why why are we trying to finish this now???

+1

Fly under our current contracts for awhile longer. Let BH sweat awhile.

NO CONCESSIONS!

Get some experience and "hopefully" move on. The rest of you can shut up, drop your pants and take a 22% pay cut, as well as QOL reductions. Get in the box and put these shackles on slaves! You are now working for Johny Delta Hairdo. He's got alimony to pay and alcohol rehab bills. How dare you demand to keep your pay and compensation package where it was 6 YEARS AGO. "Get half a brain". I have a better idea. FK U Grandpa!

The problem with the Regionals is this....they have zero control over their revenue. Most businesses can (attempt) to increase revenue when costs rise. Ours cannot. Our overlords force lower wages on our companies, there is competition, whip saw, etc. the only way a company CAN survive this is to (attempt to) lower costs. All this talk of inflation and our worth is total nonsense (to them). Delta says this is what you get to operate the flight, take it or leave it. Management has to take this rate or lose the flying. They realize that they can't stay afloat with that income. We all know they coulda, woulda or shoulda not taken that deal if they can't afford it, but we'd end up in the same place in the end. The majors (Delta) won this war, with the tactics they use. The regionals have lost. Now, before you think I'm for us taking cuts.....NO WAY! I am a solid NO vote on anything that decreases my pay and compensation in any way! I'm out, done! I work for not one cent less, as my hours will be cut drastically due to FT/DT rules and the insane increases coming to our health care costs. (See....affordable health care act). If a company cannot be profitable AND properly compensate their employees THEY NEED TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS! All these emotional responses to our leverage and worth and inflation is going to get us nowhere. They can't afford it, (see, rate reset) unless we think cutting in other places can save us. Maybe so, maybe not. But we need to stand our ground and expect the outcome to be the end of our company. The thinking that they can't find anyone to replace us is silly, because I think the Majors want less regional feed anyway, and they bet there are enough out there to work for peanuts again to replace us.

The next carrot will be a number at a Major in return for massive cuts. Usairways is already planning that.

A business that has no control of their revenue cannot survive! It is a failed and flawed business model that needs to go away.

If they can't afford it, then they can't have it. That's the way of the world. I'm glad you are on board with No Concessions. Just Say No and let the chips fall where they may. We can take it. We have come this far.

In exchange for an actual number at a major I may make SOME exceptions. Other than that I say delay, delay, delay.

What's really bothersome is that the MECs are in caboots with management. They're in this deeper than anyone can fathom.

Bring a ********************e TA guys....lowest you can go. Do it and show the pilot groups what you're really made of.

If you're on our side, the I agree with the delay strategy. Delay until they have to hire the guy with six DUI's and two accidents. We're almost there.

Nice contribution, junior. Now grow up and try to look at the whole picture. Just try. I know it's hard for you
