Many FA's can make a mountain over a mole hill, too many of these old gals need to retire or be put out to pasture, they take there position way too seriously. He was in the wrong for keeping the device on, but what did she accomplish by handling the situation the way she did?
Ah yes, only...
I think you may not have done your homework.
1. Do 170 pilots put all of their paycheck in the bank, I do.
2. Do 170 pilots receive 14 days of paid vacation every 42 days, we do.
3. Are all the 170 pilots based out of the city they live in, I am.
4. Each 14 days of vacation includes round...
To clear things up, yes this thread is about the Vietnam Airlines A320 contract, the good pay and nice place to live contract that is paying approximately $10.6K per month on the 6/2 schedule and goes up 10% after completion of the first year.
IMHO the Air Mekong drivers have NO impact on...
Different strokes, but my preference is no completion bonuses, this only indicates an operation that has to use special tactics to keep you the full contract period, be careful.
Dumb, not sure why you feel this way, the pay they are on now isn't even that low, so if they start operating the A320, I really doubt they would be any where near your estimate, I believe new captains at Vietnam Airlines start at 10.6 / mos for the first year.

He pretty much made good on his promise, increasing VN salaries and deducting a...

Like on the nice clear windy days, they aren't even required to have an alternate, of course most of us all know that the...
Pros: I don't need to reach for my glasses when I get a text message. I don't need a watch with big numbers. I can see any and all displays on the scare bus. Scuba diving, bike riding, can set up my stereo or computer without several sets of glasses and spot lights.
Cons: ???
Grow a pair? Funny, sorry, but I have over 18,000 safe flight hours AA73, what it takes is a brain, and at least a basic understanding of the big picture.
If they would have properly declared an emergency, ATC would then request "what is the nature of your emergency?"
