    Air Wisconsin ?

It depends on vacancies where posted and how others ahead of you on the seniority list bid. To hold PHL in new hire class is a strong possibility depending where they need pilots. I've seen new hires get awarded PHL before

    Air wisconsin ?

If you want to work for Air Wisconsin and wish to commute, my advice would be not to bid ORF unless you plan on moving there. Most pairings I see are non commutable on both ends with early starts on day one and late finishes on day 4

Former ALPA EVP arrested for child molestation.

Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? I agree anyone who molests children should be locked away in prison ( pedophiles don't have it easy in prison ) But let's not convict someone on what the news media reports. You never know, it can come out at trial that the whole accusation (s)...

    Republic Pilot faces prison

Fed time is hard time. There's no parole in the Fed system. Looks like they need to put out a bid for a CA slot. I hope he doesn't bend over to pick up the soap

The Pilot Shortage is here! Part 597

If there was a true shortage, regional pay would have been bumped up already

The Pilot Shortage is here! Part 597

I have no regrets on my choices. I'll miss it but this career has be very unkind to me

The Pilot Shortage is here! Part 597

And the shortage will continue to grow as people like myself who are leaving the profession

    PSA pilots

PSA changed their call sign to Yellowstreak Since they're yellow bellies, it suits them well

Jumpseating on FDX over the Holiday season

Avoid Memphis if at all possible. Connecting thru Indy is better. Folks are nicer and better facilities.

Where will an Air Wisconsin newhire "likely" be based?

They won't have a CLt base because I want it!!! Last new hire class, 2 were awarded PHL and 4 awarded ORF Reserve FO base, the junior base is ORF

    Cargo Dogs and aging

I flew Part 135 freight for three years. My run started at 9:45 PM and I was parking back in at 4:15-4:40. I reversed my day. I went home, at breakfast and stayed up or did errands until around noon. Then I went to sleep and woke up around 8:15 or so and ate something and started off my day. On...

The Airline Pilot Hat: What will become of it?

I like to flaunt my receeding hairline. The hats look dorky. Even most Police agencies no longer have their officers wear a hat. I think it looks ridiculous. Especially when one comes walking downstairs in the hotel lobby, and NOT in the airport, with a hat on their head.

    For you ALPA bashers

Your union is as only as strong as its membership. For those of you who hate ALPA, nobody is forcing you to be a member. You still have to pay shop fees, and your work rules are still covered under your respective CBA, though. ALPA has screwed me over. That is why they got my job back from a...

    UPS to furlough 300

Why don't you blame Obama for the harsh winter weather in the mid Atlantic? Why is it his fault what happened at UPS? Big Business and corporate greed has done this. Or do you just need a scapegoat somewhere? UPS is still making profits. The downfall was our economy boomed under over inflated...

    Air Wisconsin

I have been here four years. For another regional (This is my third) it's not a bad place to work. It is not Utopia, but it's not hell either. We have our quirks like all other airlines. Industrywide, there is little movement and expect to be RSV for a while. We have a good contract, but our...

Anyone heard from Air Wisconsin yet?

No new hiring will be done until the remaining pilots on furlough are offered recall. We currently have 22 pilots on furlough. A recall class of eight starts Jan 11th. Then another bid will be out sometime in January for additional recalls.

Mesaba Lawsuit on Religion vs Scheduling

In this business, we work weekends and holidays. That is the nature of the business and if one should not take a job willingly and knowingly have to work weekends and holidays if they are unable.
