Oh Waaaahhhh! At least you have a job. Stop whining and start being thankful you have a job and at a great company, one that is going places. There are so many highly skilled aviators who aren't near so lucky as you. I am so tired of the complaining. Get with it!
Maybe if you guys can elect a FAPA BOD who will agree to SWAPA terms, you maybe could talk Gary into making an offer to Republic to buy you! I wonder how much SWA would be willing to dish out if SWA and FAPA could come to an agreement on their own. I would suspect that FAPA would have to come...
Have you F9 guys ever once considered the notion that maybe the reason us SWA guys are taking this the way we are is because we CARE about you guys' well being? Most ALL of us have friends at your organization who we want to see succeed and enjoy the same job security and satisfaction that we...
SWAPA may have gotten punked, but Frontier pilots just got f**ked!
Hope the FAPA Pres and his minions will able to sleep at night after such a blundering FUPAH.
It is hard to say EXACTLY how all of this if going to unfold. As we saw with TA-1/09, It is going to be a real challenge for Gary to make happy, such a large pilot group, across the board. With that said, I have great faith that both SWA and SWAPA will pull things together and make this happen...
...back of his pick-up truck. M80drvr is right on, except he would already be in the hosiptal if he were my captain. Of course he would have never pulled that sh*t on me anyway. I would have put the fear of GOD in him! Good luck and NEVER EVER put up with a Captain who is unprofessional and unsafe!
You are going to have to make the transition to the civilian sector eventually anyway. If flying is what you plan on doing for a second career, I would work it so that you are in training class at your favorite airline while you are on terminal leave. I got my type rating in my 20th year and was...
I jumpseated for the first time since the new rules and wanted to be in civilian cloths so I checked my bag. My bag was lost and I didn't get it back till I came in for my flight back home. It was my own company too....gotta like that one :)
Yeah CR......I know it does almost seems like it would be cheating the system, and you are right for the reasons it was initially designed. But it actually does work for the way it was intended, a win win for everybody. First year folks that take advantage of trip giveaway/second year pickup...
to add to what N1kawotg said, it gets much better when you start flying because you can drop your first year trips for some second year ones...what a nice pay raise :)
My oh my.....interesting indeed.
Now who wants to take bets on the next base? My bet is Nashville or perhaps Kansas City. Just flew throught there today, WOW we have a lot of gates at MCI. Nice central location too. Lots of other factors that go into the equation besides number of overnights...
Congrats Burg.....you are in a nice position! Wow, you can sure tell who works for who in here.
I think you have already made your mind up :) Don't forget to send JB a really nice "thanks-but-no-thanks" letter! Welcome to SWA.....you are gonna LUV it!
