I know a couple of the instructors that used to work there. They all seemed to like it. They are a pretty good school and offer some good deals on multi-time. Check out some of the other schools on GKY if you get the chance. I always liked flying down there.

When I think about all of the good times and great friends I miss it, but then my wife reminds me of all the BS. Still wouldn't trade the experience.
A buddy of mine had his prop fall off while in flight.
Anyways, funniest/ saddest over the radio " UHH Mooney XXXX are you going to put your gear down..... never mind."
Thanks for the replies and PMs. I am going to check out the website also. I have talked to the FAA and they assure me that as soon as I re-send the physical with all of the required tests it won't be a problem. Thanks again.

I need help finding an AME in the Ft Worth area that is good. I just had my physical and the doc that did it wasn't real helpful. I had heart surgery about 8 years ago and all is well and I have been issued a 1st Class Medical over the past 6 years, but the AME that I went to in July sent in...
I would like to know if any of you have flown with MAF or any of the other missionary organizations? If you have I would like to hear from you and would like to ask some questions.
Thanks,

I tried to access the site, but evidently the site has been bombarded with hits. It is issuing an error message that says that it is temporarily down, try back in three hours. It has reached it's bandwidth usage maximum.
I'll try back later.
Thanks,

You might want to check out this website:
http://www.missionaviation.net
Also there are several aviation mission related websites out there. Mission Aviation Fellowship does some good work as well as AirServ International and Aviators Without Borders.
LA Confidential is right. Alot of these...
I realize that your friend is looking to go to school somewhere near Vero Beach, so this may not be of any help to you. But, please if they decide to train in the DFW area DO NOT LET THEM GO TO INTERNATIONAL AVIATION AND TRAVEL ACADEMY. This school. as I've said before on this board, will rob...
Try Skymates on GKY
I just stopped in to Skymates on Arlington airport today. They have a Piper Seneca for $170/hr and $155/ 10 hr block. I have been looking around the area and the prices have gone up considerably in the past year. From what I've heard the insurance costs have gone up quite...
I ran across an advertisement in AOPA for becoming an aircraft appraiser. I know that there are appraisers out there so I went to the web site listed to check it out. It is a mail order "how-to" kit. There has to be more to becoming an aircraft appraiser than this. Do any of you know...
Is it better to go to a formal ground school or one-on-one with an instructor. There are schools that do it either way or combine the two. I have talked to several schools and they are always trying to sell you on the way that they do the training as being the best. Any suggestions? I am...
Like everyone else has said it depends on where you are at. If you are in the DFW area there's a place to get a C150 for $35/hr. It isn't the prettiest thing you've seen, but mechanically it is a solid aircraft.

I am going to go out there and talk to them today. I doubt they're flying today with the weather like it is, but there should be somebody out there.
As far as jumping, 10 years ago I wouldn't have hesitated, but today I think that I would have to think about it a bit first. I have heard...
I have seen aircraft towing banners in the DFW area and was wondering if any of you knew what company it was. If so, any idea of minimums or qualifications?
I put in a resume to fly jump planes, but haven't heard anything from them. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Brokepilot
