If there remains 1600 AT folks to train, and the company want to comply with SL10 and get it all done by 1/1/2015, and they don't do much more this year, that leaves 2 full years (2013 & 2014) to train 1600. You are making a lot of assumptions here based on very little information. SWA hired and trained about 600 pilots in 2006 without using the sims late at night. The training center has added 3 sims since then and will likely be adding another soon. Training 800 per year for 2013 and 2014 is well... -

For SWA Poolies
"I do hope that we get are line totals up for the people that do hold a line can return to the 90 to 100 plus trip total." May trip avg was 94.4 with a max line of about 106 trips. Lots of VJA and JA on the FO side and the occasional VJA/JA on the CA side. Lots of other small, but encouraging... -

No arbitration in SWA and F9 deal
Both incorrect SWA will structure their bid such that the deal will not close unless and until labor agreements are reached. The deal is not likely to close until the end of the year. The auction will end on the 17th and then SWAPA and FAPA will have at least 30-45 days to come to an agreement... -

This is an excellent point and one I think that is missed by most. Hedging is done primarily to fix costs at todays rates.
