Really? Not sure where you would have gotten them. Both AirTran and SWA required it.

BTW, how many years will I have to be "retired" before you finally get tired of my wonderful quote in your signature? ;)
 
He had the job offer in writing.

Sidenote KAL, ANA, JAL and Asiana are on quite a few US Companies "do not fly on" lists.

I'm sure he said that, that is what they always say....!

About your claims..., prove it..! Show me evidence of any company that has All Nippon Airways on any do not fly list...!
 
Many "non approved airlines" for US corporations have more to do with rebooking and other operational considerations - not a matter of safety. A manager from AMEX in PHX once told me they're not to book a certain airline due to their insistance to not rebook pax OAL when operations are interrupted.

It truly was prophetic. However, I wouldn't exactly say you guys didn't do well in an acquisition. You were a former Union rabble-rouser, you know anything that has over a 51% yes vote means you gave away too much.

Airtran mins circa 2006/7:

Qualifications
  • Fixed wing flight time - 2500 hours
  • Multi-engine, fixed wing flight time - 1000 hours
  • 121 PIC or military equivalent - 500 hours
  • An ATP certificate, or successful completion of the ATP written exam
  • Current First Class Medical certificate
  • Valid passport
  • Legally eligible for employment in the United States
  • Free of felony convictions within the most recent 10 years
