I interviewed for a dispatcher position at Boeing in 2007, I think they were around 55k to start.

Boeing is seeking a Flight Operations Manager in Gary, IN.

The Manager of Flight Operations will oversee daily operations of seven large cabin aircraft (Challenger and BBJ's) flying 5000 hours a year worldwide. Responsibilities include the management of direct reports, aircraft crewing, charter procurement, fuel management and contingency planning for the daily schedule. Beyond a basic knowledge in weather, aircraft performance and international operations is required. This is a non-flying position.

Dispatcher

Department: Flight Operatons
Pay Range : $15.75 - $22.00 DOE
Reports To: Chief Dispatcher
Essential Functions: Ensure safe dispatch and flight following for company flights.


Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for compliance with FARs and Company GOM.
  2. Jointly responsible with Captain of the flight for the initiation, continuation, diversion and termination of those flights.
  3. Monitor the progress of each flight and issue information necessary for its safety.
  4. Continuous monitoring of weather, weather patterns, and trends.
  5. Construct flight plans for various route structure.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  1. Current aircraft dispatcher certificate required and must be at least 23 years of age.
  2. Satisfactorily complete initial dispatcher training for aircraft which he/she is responsible for dispatching.
  3. Satisfactorily complete competency check and operating familiarization and differences training in aircraft group operated by PenAir.
  4. Satisfactorily complete annual recurrent training
