Position Summary:
The Manager Dispatch Support is responsible for the smooth and
consistent operation of the flight planning system and other dispatch
systems. The Manager acts as the primary interface with Information
Technology (IT) for the Dispatch department and is responsible for
finding efficiencies in the flight planning process and working with
Dispatch standards and other interfacing departments on implementing
those efficiencies.
Essential Functions:
* Maintains the Sabre System for System Operations Control
* Determines the most efficient use of the Sabre system
* Maintains the future schedule in the flight planning and flight
tracking systems
* Implements system upgrades, testing and troubleshooting
* Manages coordination of Sabre enhancements to existing system
* Updates navigational data loads
Interactions:
Supervision Received:
* Plans and carries out work assignments and handles problems in
accordance with instructions, policies, previous training, or accepted
practices in the occupation. Consults with Crewleader/Teamleader on
unique situations which do not have clear precedents
Supervisory Duties:
* Trains, assigns work to, and checks work of two (2) or more
Crewmembers/Teammembers; participates in the decision to hire, fire, and
promote Crewmembers/Teammembers; does not conduct the same work as
Crewmembers/Teammembers on a regular basis
Crewleader/Teamleader Responsibility:
* Supervisor Dispatch Support
* Coordinator Dispatch Support
* Dispatchers temporarily assigned on projects to assist in flight
planning system improvements

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
* Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
* Five (5) to seven (7) years airline dispatch experience
* Two (2) to four(4) years experience working with computer systems and
databases
* Two (2) years experience with flight planning systems preferred but
not required
* Valid Passport
* Regular attendance and punctuality
* Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the

* Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

Job Description ARINC in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Flight Coordinator. ARINC Direct is a complete 24 hours per day/7 days per week flight planning, messaging, and customer service provider, exclusively for business aviation.

The ARINC Direct service and the Flight Operations Center are built on a foundation of customer service and teamwork. ARINC Direct strives to create a cooperative atmosphere where knowledge is shared amongst team members and provides our Flight Coordinators with the tools, information, and empowerment they need to effectively satisfy Customer requests.

The ARINC Direct Flight Coordinator is responsible for interacting with ground and air-based business aviation customers via telephone and message exchanges during all phases of flight planning and operations.

The Flight Coordinator will:

- Create and disseminate computed flight plans and weather information

- Relay sensitive aviation messages

- Provide logistical assistance for flight crews and passengers including airport arrival and departure reservation management

- Respond to incoming customer messages and telephone calls

- Provide customer account, software, and training support

- Ensure customer satisfaction to customers (pilots, flight departments, and passengers)

This position may require flexible coverage of multiple shifts in support of 24/7 operations, including holidays


Bi-lingual- fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, French or Italian preferred
Qualifications Required Experience:
This position requires 1 to 2 years of applicable aviation-related experience and an FAA certified Dispatch License. A thorough understanding of aircraft flight planning, aircraft performance, aviation weather and reports, aviation navigational charts, aviation navigational procedures and related information is required. The selected candidate must have PC operating experience in a professional environment, including standard office software and internet browsing and must be able to communicate well both orally and in written form and to deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.

The selected candidate must be able to work for extended periods while seated and using a personal computer and be able to handle incoming customer calls without assistance.
We are seeking a person who is able to handle multiple customer requests simultaneously and accurately, work well in dynamic situations, and someone who can anticipate and mitigate problems.
The selected candidate must be able to prioritize their time and resources in crises, be able to work very effectively with others in a fast-paced team environment and be able to work independently with limited assistance.
