No one should be anti business. The vast majority of us should, however, be anti management.

No offense, but that is an unintelligent statement. Have you ever seen pilots try to run an airline?

Management has it's place and labor has it's place. To be anti-management is to remove an important cog in the wheel.

Perhaps you meant that the majority of us should be against poor management. Arpey shouldn't be given a golden parachute, but then again American shouldn't have had to compete with Delta and United who were allowed to write off a lot of debt while holding on to cash reserves.

The bankruptcy laws in the US are a joke...

But back to facts- Fox is the worst at facts. When it can be verified, FOX is wrong almost 3 times more than the next worse (msnbc)-
And that's not including their opinion journalism

Can you provide a source plz?

FMS-Speed+waveflyer= Are you two one in the same??

Media matters? That's were you get your info from?? I would be careful there. Just do a google search on them, you get the likes of George Soros, Moveon.org etc.

These organizations are part of the Liberal media machine!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Media_Matters_for_America

Benefactors and staff
MMfA started with the help of $2 million in donations from liberal philanthropists connected to the Democratic party. According to Byron York, additional funding came from MoveOn.org and the New Democrat Network.[14][15][16]
In 2004 MMfA received the endorsement of the Democracy Alliance, a partnership of wealthy and politically active donors. The Alliance itself does not fund its any of its endorsees, but many wealthy Alliance members acted on the endorsement and donated directly to MMfA.[17][18][19] Media Matters as a matter of course has a policy of not comprehensively listing donors. Six years after the Alliance endorsed MMfA, financier George Soros - a founding and continuing member of the Alliance - announced in 2010 that he was donating $1 million to MMfA. Soros said: "Despite repeated assertions to the contrary by various Fox News commentators, I have not to date been a funder of Media Matters." Soros said concern over "recent evidence suggesting that the incendiary rhetoric of Fox News hosts may incite violence" had moved him to donate to MMfA, which thanked Soros for announcing his donation "quickly and transparently." [20]
Former chief of staff to president Bill Clinton John Podesta provided office space for Media Matters early in its formation at the Center for American Progress, a Democratic think tank that he had created in 2002.[21] Hillary Clinton advised Media Matters in its early stages out of a belief that progressives should follow conservatives in forming think tanks and advocacy groups to support their political goals.[22][23]
Media Matters hired numerous political professionals who had worked for Democratic politicians and for other progressive groups.[24][25] In 2004 article on Media Matters the National Review referred to MMfA staffers who had recently worked on the presidential campaigns of John Edwards and Wesley Clark, for Congressman Barney Frank, and for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.[26]
[edit] Progressive Talent Initiative

Established to "incubate a new generation of liberal pundits", the Progressive Talent Initiative trains potential pundits in media skills.[27][28]
[edit] Media Matters Action Network

David Brock established Media Matters Action Network to track conservative politicians and organizations.[29] Organized as a 501(c)(4) nonprofit group, the organization can lobby and engage in political campaign work.[30] The New York Times reports that it is "set to take on an expanded role in the 2012 elections, including potentially running television ads."
[edit] Offshoot websites

In 2009 Media Matters Action Network launched the Conservative Transparency website, aimed at tracking the funding of conservative activist organizations.[31] Media Matters Action Network established the Political Correction project with the goal of holding conservative politicians and advocacy groups accountable.[32] In December 2010 Media Matters Action Network started EqualityMatters.org, a site "in support of gay equality." At launch the site fully incorporated Media Matters's content on LGBT issues.[33] Designed to provide talking points for liberal activists and politicians, David Brock set up the Message Matters project.[34] Media Matters runs the website DropFox.com and works to get advertisers to boycott the Fox News Channel. One target, Orbitz, initially referred to Media Matters' efforts as a "smear campaign," then on June 9, 2011 agreed to "review the policies and process used to evaluate where advertising is placed."[35][36] It is also targeting Netflix, Best Western, Priceline, Delta Airlines, Ocean Spray and Southwest Airlines.

Be careful where you get your info from!!

Peace out.... this is going no-where..

Media Matters?!?!

Convenient this group media matters wants to silence opposition to their point of view! So in doing this they want to financially hurt people who advertise on Fox news. So they are calling for a boycott of american businesses including Delta and Southwest Airlines!

Media Matters wants people to boycott Delta and Southwest, how many Delta and Southwest pilots would support an organization like that?? I wonder how much business was lost because of this boycott?? Have employees of these companies suffered?

Talk about bitting the hand that feeds you, simply because they advertise on a channel the folks are watching??

Why do they want to silence their opposition??? What ever happen to freedom of speech? So long as you see thing's through their prizm!!

Whatever happened to journalistic integrity, responsibility, equal time, and fair coverage.
No one wants to silence any opposition, but you make the mistake that all situations ought to reported with a biased view- whatever happened to reporting the facts and then letting the population decide what to think about it.
This criticism is not leveled at fox alone- but one of the biggest things I hate about large political events, speeches, and debates is the team of news people who tell you what to think and take away from what you just saw- thereby becoming part of the story instead of merely reporting the story. It's no wonder the population doesn't know how to think-
All you fox junkies know that the term "Fair and Balanced" is a slap in the face

It would be as funny as pro wrestling hitting you up with "the only REAL sport" every 5 seconds, if it weren't that our free press is a serious obligation and control in our democracy.

"our democracy depends upon an informed constituency"

Notice Jefferson didn't say a propagandized constituency- Fox is bought and paid for and as Obama said two years ago shouldn't be considered as anything more than an arm of the republican party.

I am not a fan of FOX News myself, but I think you should recall how FOX News came about. It was a reaction to the BIAS of the so called "mainstream" media of which CNN was the worst offender (MSNBC should just be renamed the FOX rebuttal channel since all they do is try to disprove everything FOX says).

Journalistic integrity doesn't exist anymore; nor did journalistic integrity ever exist. As long as people are involved in writing the news - you will get their opinions that come along with that news. FOX does a lot of opinion and very little news; but it is successful because it provides a certain bias to a bunch of people who were tired of "mainstream" journalists educated at elitist schools telling you how you should think about something.

A perfect example of this is the Vietnam War. I am not going to get into the merits of that war, but you can easily see how what was reported by the experts was not quite what was happening on the ground and it created a wellspring of anti-war support right around 1968 after the Tet Offensive.

Point being, arguing about journalistic integrity is incredibly naive; there never has been journalistic integrity. In fact, go back to the end of the Civil War. When John Wilkes Booth shot Lincoln, most papers in New England reported him captured and hanged in the first 48 hours -- meanwhile his manhunt didn't end for another 13 days.

We as individuals have to think critically about what we read and see....

you won't get this type of "Fair and Balanced coverage" from Fox news I'll bet..

Go on flame away.. I don't' give a rats a$$

All you left-wingers have an obsession with Fox news.....is that because that's the only media outlet besides talk radio and the internet that the left doesn't control? And if that leftist troll Ed Shultz told me the sun was going to set in the west I wouldn't believe him.
