Very unlikely that these airplanes are for PNCL corp. Probably for an Asian carrier or another Euro airline is going to the "Q" Profits

Clues

PNCL 1. Get's lending arm of Bombardier to change terms of current lease
2. PNCL had to exercise options by the end of March 2012, BTW options are not free there is cost to them
3. United scope clause not going to be relaxed anytime soon
4. Stock price has been trading up
5. Fuel predicted to soar this summer, Iran...Global recovery, and so on
6. Waited to talk to ALPA last...Need to bring a carrot to the bargaining table

"BIG" announcement today in correlation with Corp's 4th quarter earnings? Still waiting.

"BIG" announcement today in correlation with Corp's 4th quarter earnings? Still waiting.

There may be an announcement, but this rumor that it is based off the fourth quarter earnings call is completely false.

From the latest SEC filing on 2/7/2012:
Item 8.01 Other Events As previously disclosed, the Company is currently executing initiatives to increase its short-term and long-term liquidity and reduce costs. Given the substantial time and resources focused on these efforts, the Company is still finalizing its financial results for the quarter and year ended December 31, 2011. As a result, the Company does not anticipate releasing fourth quarter 2011 earnings, filing its 2011 Form 10-K, or hosting its quarterly earnings call until a not yet determined date in March 2012.

Are you saying if PCL made the deal with UAL the pilots rejecting a cut would negate the deal?

If all of this is true, then that is what management is going to tell us. Mesaba did this in '05, ALPA said f off to paycuts and we got the 200's anyways. Well, 2 of them at least, but that is a different story.
