The Midex MEC are idiots who backed these idiots all year. They may actually have to fly a schedule if the airtran rgoes through. It has always been about Tim and how much he can walk away with. He's got tons of stock.
 
If Midwest is going to be sold eitherway then I would much rather see Airtran as th new owner. A lot of our pilots feel the same way.
If the merger goes through, we welcome you and look forward to building a strong pilot union. Bottom line, we all have to stick together and fight for our careers. Best of luck to us all!

and guaranteed a long section 6 process with their actions in the last few days.

they were not idiots. it was simply a political move to possibly gain favor for section 6 next year. as we have seen, pilot support means nothing in these deals and it was purely political.
 
How the hell does an outside bidder think they can get the union to give a concessionary contract extension as part of their bid?

Wouldn't that be kind of like asking a car salesman to buy your gas for a year if you buy the car his boss is selling?
Yes. And its been done before.
