Knowledge of a large work force involved in a contentious contract battle can hardly qualify for micro-managing. Expansion of the fractional business was WB's stated goal. He certainly was aware that the resources were being used to fuel that growth, rather than fairly compensate the pilots. IF (and that's a huge stretch) he wasn't previously "in the know", then having NJ pilots picketing the BH shareholder's meeting in Omaha certainly DID get the message across. Pilots carrying signs that read "NetJets Pilots Seek Livable Wages" was a priceless sight impossible to miss.

OK, small words...

He owns NetJets, he doesn't manage/run NetJets. Somebody ;) else is paid to do that. WB speaks in support of the "goals and visions" of said management.

You can google any other questions you "might" have on micro management...

or,

submit your white paper on the subject. :cool:

WB's "vision" was to expand NJ Inc world-wide, as a top priority. Knowing pilots had voted to strike over a protracted contract battle hardly constitutes running NJA. Many people in aviation were aware of that piece of news. :rolleyes: WB, apparently, supported NJA management in their goal to underpay/overwork pilots, while he used the profits of their labor to fuel his growth engine.

"while he used the profits of their labor to fuel his growth engine."

.......= Capitalism.

Did you go to school in Beijing, NJW?

A fair day's wages for an honest day's work. That democratic precept is as American as apple pie. You'll be hard pressed to find any pilot who doesn't think that the NJ pilots had earned, and rightfully deserved, every penny they got in their new CBA. In fact, many, would agree that they were short-changed on the Retro they were owed. The signing bonus didn't cover it for most of the NJ pilots.

I went to school in Gunfyter's fair city. Though I fail to see what that has to do with frac pilot salaries. Please stick to the issues. :rolleyes: NJW

PILOTS ARE PROFESSIONALS AND SHOULD BE COMPENSATED ACCORDINGLY

"Fair" = paid what you agreed to work for. How can you say you're entitled to anything else, other than what market forces dictate?

What, exactly, is that supposed to mean? What you really mean to say is "Greed is as American as apple pie." Don't sugar-coat it.

*slaps forehead* Obvious statement of the year. What pilot would ever turn down a paycheck?

Again, meaningless drivel. Use of the word "should" implies some kind of moralistic entitlement. In reality, pilots (and anyone else) are paid what the market will bear. Otherwise, a correction occurs. Simple economics.

Mindless, saccharine platitudes, with no economic, logical, ethical, or moral backing. You speak in cliches, NJW. Just say, "we want what we want because we are greedy." Nothing wrong with it. Wrapping your (perfectly legitimate) greed in your pseudo-socialist catch phrases is really very tiresome.

Really, get a different hobby. Hell, get on the treadmill. Anything.

Looks like everyone was in love and enjoying life before KR took over. Glad to see it. That looks like a great culture to cultivate.
