Any updates on how the operation is going?
I have heard about how Hawaiian is challenging GO in court. I'm just curious and would welcome any perspectives from people who've dealt with GO in one capacity or another.

Hey,
Airplane Flight Manuals typically give data for normal and short field takeoffs. Is there any way to somewhat accurately predict soft field takeoff distance (from real grass fields). Obviously the nature of the soft fields makes uniform calculations and slide rules impossible since they...
I'm getting furloughed from Independence in the next couple months and am seriously contemplating tossing my hat in the ring at NJA. I have been lurking on this board the last couple months enjoying you guys debate the pros/cons of each frac. I am just curious - what is a realistic estimate of...
Does anyone have any leads or ideas on how to get a position flying for relief organizations in Africa or South/Central America? Do they take pilots with FAA ratings or must you move there and convert your licences? I'm interested in hearing from anybody who has flown in such a capacity - either...
Q. How do you fit 20 paying pax on a 19 seat B1900?

(if you still don't get it, think who the other paying pax is!!!!!)
Ladies & Gentlemen,
I am projecting that sometime on Wednesday (Dec 31st), BobbySamd will add his 4000th post to the FlightInfo board. (As I write this, it is the evening of Sun Dec 28th; BobbySamd currently is at 3986 posts, and has been averaging between 5-6 posts/day since the FlightInfo...
Another great counterpunch from ACA management.....
BTW was the judge supposed to deliver some sort of ruling by the end of this week?

How far is it from Sky Harbor Airport to Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe? Is is preferrable/cheaper to rent a car, taxi, or bus. (and how long is the ride).
Also, anybody who lives in the area have any leads on...
The following press release is pulled from the ALPA Press Release site. I will summarize it briefly - maybe it will strike a chord with my fellow Blue Ridgers as they ponder the YES/NO vote for concessions.
-Airline agrees to concessionary 6yr contract right as the economy is about to break out...
Anybody know whatever happened to Indigo Air (if my memory is correct) - they were planning a couple years ago to start a regularly scheduled corporate jet service w/ Falcons between TEB and Chicago. I remember reading quite a bit about them - then haven't heard a thing in a few years.
Along...
Flying out of IAD the last 2+ yrs have pretty much gotten a feel for all the callsigns and flt #s of the co's that fly in and out of there. However, several times in recent weeks I have heard UAL flights with callsigns in the 8000 range. Knowing how UAL does their schedule, their flights are...
Was recently jumpseating on an AMR Eagle flight and flipping thru their inflight mag. In the back part where it talked about the airplanes AMR + AE flew, e.g. B737, B767, B777, it also described the MD-80 as the "Boeing Super 80."
As far as I'm concerned, an MD-80 is a McDonnell Douglas MD-80...
Whatever happened to the 2nd incarnation of Ozark Airlines in Missouri? The one that was flying D328Jets in late 1990s? How long did they last? I believe they had some codeshare with American. I don't think they're still around - correct me if I'm wrong? What happened to their airplanes as well?

This is slightly off topic but...does anybody know of any U.S. pax carriers that fly to Reyjkavik, Iceland.
Alternatively, do any of the freight ones that take jumpseaters like Atlas make any stops there?
Thanks to anybody who may know

Rumor at ACA is that we may soon be interviewing and hiring again; the co. recently selected 25 CAs for the interview board and my source among them said possibly by the end of March we may be interviewing.
In the meantime, the company is slowly soaked up people in the hiring pool; it is my...
Did we ever come up with an answer on that thread?
I too thought a bit weird that EJA would hire pilots with a comparatively low time (250 tt + 800 as a CFI) and definitely far below their stated minimums, especially since they reassure their clients that their pilots have min of 2500 TT and...
