Which of these aircraft is easier to learn to fly and to fly itself? I know a few flight instructors who are heading off to the regional airlines and don't know if they want to fly jets or props.
To those airline pilots flying the friendly skies. If you had a chance, would you and your fellow pilots prefer to be apart of a union or tell the unions to go to hell. Is union leadership for your pilot group truly working in your best interest?
To the SWA female pilot from SWA flight 1144 from BWI to Orlando, departing at 10:15pm. Chill out sweetheart. The ground controller was just confirming where your flight was going to and what your flight number was. You didn't need to respond back to him in a rude manner.
Would any of you consider changing to another career path outside being professional pilot or aviation, at this point of your lives, if you had a opportunity?
When a person is hired as a first officer for a major airline like Delta, United, etc., how does the airline determine which aircraft this new first officer will be assigned?
I am considering working for Southwest airlines as an Operations Agent at BWI. Any reason why I "should" or "shouldn't" work for this airline and in this particular job? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks....
Is there another way, other than the regional airlines, that a CFI can use to gain the experience to eventually get a flying job with the major airlines or cargo carriers like FedEx or UPS? My former CFI decided to become a pilot in the Air Force instead of going to the regional airlines...
Which do you prefer, regular yoke or side stick. I knew a airline pilot who had flown aircraft with a regular yoke and was going to be trained on an Airbus. He did not like the idea of going from one to the other. For some of you who may have flown both type of aircraft, which do you prefer?
Where can I find the training to become a A&P mechanic? I know there are aircraft mechanic schools around the country, but have been told be people who attended them they are a scam. I was considering possibly going into the military, but I am too old for that.
Any suggestions would be...
I was in a Dash8 the other day and noticed levers to the right of the throttles, also with a numers also on them. I was told that they are called condition levers. What are condition levers and how do they work? Also, what is torque as it applies to turbo prop aircraft?
Thank you
