57 must of liked the crappy schedule and pay. Amazing!!!

Amazing, isn't it? You'd expect a few self-serving brown nosers to vote no, but 57?

It kinda speaks to why this place has continued to operate under these conditions for so long. I think it's because so many people come here from s-bag mom & pop Operators with no pay and a couple of hard days per month. They get a few extra dollars and 13 hard days off per month and they think they've hit the lottery. So what if it comes at the expense of their dignity and professional self-worth. NOT! Time to wake up, folks.

The alarm clock has rung!

AFT..Think you nailed it..A couple Brown nosers and the rest think they got it good compared to the last ********************hole they worked at ..Glad you guys did it. Just remember all the issues are not going away. But there will be less stress and more security, and hopefully a pay raise

Good luck to you folks! You've taken the first big step towards improving your conditions and compensation.

As others have said, this is not going to be a smooth road. You've chosen dignity and respect, but you now have to FIGHT for it!

The "Union" is each and every one of YOU, not just whoever ends up being your leadership. As soon as you forget this you will fail. So get involved and stay involved. Participate in what your leadership asks you to do, even if you may not agree with it.

And remember, a union simply can't/won't solve every single problem you may have with your company. They never have, never will. In truth, choosing a union is a bit of choosing the lesser of two evils. But in the end, the union will be the only thing looking to make things better for you. If management was going to do it, they would have done so already and negated the need for a union.

Stand by for a whole lot of misdirection, threats, and flat out lies coming from management. And know that most if us are pulling for you. Please reach out to NJASAP for guidance and advice if you need it. Look for experienced union people wherever you can find them, whether it's from your own ranks or others (like any of the other unions, or labor attorneys, or outside consultants).

Good luck! Let's pull this industry up to where it should be!

Will the Travel Management Pilots be required to pay dues from Dec 22, 2014 when they voted for representation, or were they lied to and told that they would not be required to pay dues till their contract is ratified?

A simple honest statement of fact from their leadership now will build trust
