This is a little beyond the rules, but the best hamburger I have ever had was a real Kobe steak burger at the Seven, Ritz Carton, Grand Caymans and it also was almost $50! Tasted like the meat was wrapped in a stick of butter before it was grilled.

Best burger I have ever eaten is a veggie burger, the Northstar Burger from Northstar Cafe in Columbus, OH. And no, I am NOT a vegetarian.

Best from a defunct establishment: The Chili Size (open faced chili cheeseburger with onions) at the Scenic Air Terminal in LAS. DAY-UUUM!

Default: ANY cheeseburger you have when you return from a multi-week trip to somewhere they don't have cheeseburgers.

Im with TC here....you guys can keep the fastfood crap and obscure places...the best burger (or any meal?) is the one you cook on your own deck on a nice night at home with no trips on the horizon for a few weeks.

Flip Burger on Howell Mill Rd in Atlanta, get the A5 Burger; Imported A5 Grade Japanse Kobe Beef, Foie Gras, Torchon and Truffle. Costs $39 and worth every penny....
