SWA called me this morning. I've given up trying figure out their rationale for who gets called when. I think we've read too much into it in the past.

Didn't get any info out of the gal other than they're planning for classes in January.

Patiently waiting. I hate to admit it, but I'm starting to get optimistic.

As of today there are 4105 pilots on the senority list..

One other thing that may make some numbers not add up are the number of pilots that are on leave for one reason or another..
Just skimming through the pages of the list its a pretty big number on leave..

I was making my monthly call last week W/ LL and she told me to go and get my fingerprints and proof of citizenship. I will go to MDW this thursday (31 Oct.)

Is that light at the end of the tunnel I see?

To you future Southwest drivers,

Just got back from training. Here is the latest and greatest. 4 extra airplanes this year. 17 next year and only 6 200's retired. Two classes in January. No official word for the year. Speculation is about 250. The instructors are being told baring any unforseen attack and the Iraq situation, 04 will be the year we resume our aggresive growth with about 600 plus pilots. They plan on breaking ground on a new training center sometime in the spring.
