That's like saying, hotel shuttle vans take up too many slots at the pick-up curb. If hotels REALLY wanted to provide transportation, they would buy and staff Greyhound-sized buses. Never mind the fact that they only need to pick up five crewmembers at a time.

Of course, they could just reduce frequency accordingly - just to make sure drivers only operate equipment they think worthy of their efforts. "Sorry, sir, the next shuttle will be there tomorrow about your show time. We apologize for this inconvenience."

Or the airport looses scheduled service and it becomes on demand transportation.

You guys don't give polititians enough credit. If cockpits are not being crewed, and flights to their district are being cancelled, they will call it a national emergency, or something like that and issue waivers.

Anybody who thinks the regionals are dead, does not study history.

When they start a draft for airline pilots I'll believe we have a shortage.

I overheard from a senior captain who said that the government is DEFINATELY not spying on flightinfo.com. They are getting more info from the various porn websites! BELIEVE IT!!

dal IS getting bigger planes and shutting down smaller regionals...
