We are headed in the pre-labor movement direction in this country because of the weak minded, and low character "I got mine" crowd who sides with greedy corporations that value NOTHING but stock price. It works for you because your viewpoint is anti social, and ironically, anti patriotic.
Sorry you are unhappy, are we supposed to only post pro-union messages? Old union joke at GM, how many union members did it take to change light bulb? Five, 1 electrician to turn off the power, 1 equipment resource person to get the light bulb, 1 equip set up specialist to erect the ladder, 1 ladder climbing rigger to climb the latter and install the light bulb, and 1 Hazardous Waste disposal technician to dispose of the old light bulb. How many at a Toyota plant? The guy who saw it burned out. It was the 76 worker classifications that the union demanded that added to the demise by increasing over head cost compared to the non-union competition. BTW I really don’t care what anyone does, but they should be exposed to both sides

It's a good question- how do we keep a middle class? We become wealthier as a nation when we become more productive- how do we foster that AND the middle class?

Me personally- tax the ever piss out of the rich and re-invest. It's not about fair- it's about the ECONOMIC benefits to a middle class. And then only in as much as needed to guarantee the middle class and keep it in balance.
Oh and no one rides for free- whether it's welfare or the good ole boy network-

But the largest question this country is facing is NOT our debt - it's the growing gap between the rich and everyone else. We better address it

but it their money, take too much of it and they leave the taxing authority. Study England's tax polict, it drove wealth from the country. Then again there is always the Russian way, kill them and take their money,

Ahh- there's the patriotism I love, yip- so there's nothing we can do to stop greed from lessening the country? we must protect the rich or they'll go? Maybe if the US wasn't a haven for the gaudy-rich England wouldnt have it-

Love the people who use America to get rich- then just leave at the drop of a dime-- I say go ahead and go ******************** yourself if that's how you feel about the country.

it's money they made on the backs of working stiffs... the worker puts in his own blood, sweat and time to make them rich, so he should share in the wealth... nobody is saying go the way of the Soviet Union, but we're saying it works in Japan, Germany and France, why not in the greatest country in the world? Those countries tax the hell out of the super wealthy and yet a)they remain super wealthy, and b) they are kicking our economic a$$ on a percapita basis with fully funded social programs, clean streets, newer infrastructure, lower crime rates.

Look- everyone gets up in arms when a city or state manager gets over $200k a year, managing $billions- but the same private sector exec pulling in $millions upon obscene millions doesn't get people to bat an eye-

That's because the corporation pay's there CEO with private funds. The "city planner is paid by peoples taxes.

Where did I read that in NYC 44,000 taxpayers, out of a city population 8,100,000, paid 50% of the NYC taxes? They were taxed at an average rate of 62%, combined Fed, State and City. NYC was going to city raise taxes on these people. A survey conducted showed that for a 1% raise in taxes to these people would result in a 5% exodus from the city to lower tax cities, so an increase in taxes, would result in a 4% loss from the people who paid most of the taxes. There is limit on how much tax will be tolerated by people paying most of the taxes.

Well, Bill Gates, Paul Allen, Warren Buffet, Howard Schultz, and many other billionaires disagree with you...

Comes down to whether it's all about you or not and if 3 gulfstreams is not enough to sacrifice the whole population that also worked to get them that money.

Even if 62% is true, which I doubt. (reference Warren Buffetts challenge to give any of his financial peers $1M if they admit publicly that they pay less % in taxes than their secretary ) think about the math of what you're saying- if 44,000 can pay for a city of 8M- how much $$ do they have compared to everyone else? Think about the growing gap between the rich and everyone else- they pay all the taxes BECAUSE THEY HAVE ALL THE MONEY!
how is that hard to understand?
Or are you still naive enough to think that every fortune was gained on a level field...(?)
