That airframe will come back to haunt WN from the other side of concourse C. Look for Big D to put a 717 on every city that WN flies to out of ATL that's east of DEN, and matching or bettering WN's fares. With GK payin the lease for them, why not?

Kind of ironic . . . . AirTran/VJ bought a bunch of cheap DC9's from Delta, and used them to become a major competitor in ATL.

Now, 16 years later, SWA is selling (more efficient) 717's to Delta, presumably to use against us in ATL?

I gave up trying to figure this one out. :erm:

I wager those 717's will go right to where they will make the most money, West coast, California shuffle.

Delta doesn't fly their own jets on the West Coast. They've given that flying to Alaska. Perhaps RA will give them the 717s as well ?
