Hello all,
I was talking with a friend of mine who's still at my former regional, who has been passed over at Southwest and JetBlue. His next hope is to get on at Continental, but when I was going through the job search about a year ago, you needed a Continental pilot to recommend you, and supposedly the Air Inc. job fairs didn't help. Is this still the case?
Thanks,
BS

not sure about the job fair, but, yes, internal recommendations are still looked upon heavily. Also, make sure the person writing the recommendation is willing to beat down the CP's door for your friend.

I would like to know as well if the job fairs are a solid "in" at Continental. It will cost me $1000 to attend the job fair in ATL after dropping a trip and paying for the entry fee. That's a lot of money. I have a couple of internal recs and my sponsor is talking to his CP regularly. If the Air Inc. conference has a good chance of an interview invite, what's $1000 though...a small investment at worst. Talk to us guys! :)
