Dont know if it's been brought up in this thread but there were a number of aircraft that landed in the exact same conditions at Aspen that day. Pure stupidity outweighed by pure luck. Some of us know some of them. Who employs knuckleheads who'd try something like this? Incedible amount of stupid in this business.
 
Tons of outfits employ tons of pilots that do crap like that every day. They get away with it, till they become a statistic, like the Challenger knuckleheads who landed after them with the same crazy tailwind.

Hopefully, as a result of the latest boneheads, the airport will subsequently be NOTAM CLOSED to turbojet arrivals anytime there is greater than a 10kt tailwind component for landing 15. That's the only way folks in the back are going go be protected from the idiots in the front that "think they can make it".
