after 2+ years, finally the MEC chair and vice chair was thrown out at mesa today. those planning on being appointed to the negotiating committee have as a stated goal of:

100% line guarantee
block or better
12 hr max duty day (extend by pilot to 14hrs)

things are changing at mesa as they look to get ready for their contract negotiations in 2007.

Do you mean a 12 hour MAX duty day?

what is going on with PBS ? New leadership means a change at mesa? how will it benefit pilots? pay increase? etc

yes said person has also stated a goal of a 3:1 duty:flight rig. i didn't want to list all of his/her wish list.

said person has said NO to PBS unless these contract demands are implemented.

Goals and wish lists are great...but following through is a whole 'nother animal. Best of luck to him and the rest of the Mesa pilots in your upcoming contract talks in 2007/2008.
