When trading trips...can you only trade equal number of days?

Can you trade a four day for a three day?

I have been reading through the contract but couldn't find it spelled out.

Thanks.

Depends on how many days you have off. You can trade a 4 day for a 3 day, but not a 3 day for a 4 day. Day for day trips. Does that make sense?

for trades with open time...must be day for day

Except you can trade for a trip with more days, ie, a 3 day for a 4 day. A nap is considered a 2 day, so you'd have to swap with a 2 day trip or 2 daylines. Crazy huh?

Another reason why the new scheduling section that has been TA'd needs to remain. Alot of this scheduling nonsense is eliminated with clear strong language, apparently of which the company wants to try and change now with this PBS crap, which would mean opening up that TA's section.

VOTED IN FAVOR!

Yes, as long as you don't go below 10 days off.

I've traded 4 days for 3 days on future open time. Twice now

You have been VERY lucky.. That is not allowed.

At least not without CP approval.

If it's a trade on the trade board you can do it without a fuss(not so with open time). Even if it's not day for day. You don't even need to trade you can simply just drop it . The problem comes up when one the folks trying to trade has reserve.
