I read in another article that this guy did this on purpose to make a point about how easy it is to be recognized, due to TSA policies.

Air marshal drops bullets, leaves plane
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
CHICAGO -- A U.S. air marshal removed himself from a Southwest Airlines flight Thursday after dropping a clip of bullets on the floor just before the plane was to take off, an airline spokeswoman said.
The marshal arrived at Midway International Airport on a flight from Philadelphia and was boarding a flight to Kansas City when the clip fell to the floor, scattering bullets, Southwest spokeswoman Whitney Eichinger told the Chicago Tribune for a story on its Web site.
"Since he was no longer traveling incognito, he decided not to continue on the flight," Eichinger said, adding that no extra screening of passengers was necessary because officials determined the bullets belonged to the air marshal. "He picked the bullets up immediately."
The flight to Kansas City was delayed 45 minutes because of the incident, she said.
The Federal Air Marshal Service declined to confirm the specifics of the mishap. But agency spokesman Dave Adams said an ammunition clip was located and turned over to the Transportation Security Administration.

How would you recognize an Air Marshal on a SWA flight, He/she is the only one not wearing a Budwiser tank top, a mullet and one of those stupid looking baseball caps with the flames on the side?

LOL! :)

In all seriousness.. What a huge pork filled beauracracy Homeland "Security" is. And where do I sign up for that cake job of flying back and forth sitting on my azz all day?

What do these boobs do on the flight? Just sit there? Or are they able to page thru porn? How much do they get PAID? I suspect quite handsomely.

Dang media....it ain't freakin' clip, it's a magazine! And how do you drop a mag on the floor and scatter a bunch of bullets??? I'd say I believe the report that he did it on purpose.

Yeah, it's a magazine, a detatchable box magazine, if you really want to be anal. However, even among people involved in the use of firearms, it is very common to use the less precise term "clip". I think perhaps the media could be cut a little slack here. Are you perhaps on of those who insists that it's an "instrument approach procedure chart" and not a "plate"

I doubt you would be able to, make it through the training to be a FAM. From what I have been todl it is pretty rough.

No...I'm not that anal...it's a plate to me....and I don't mind hearing 'with you'....either, but that's a whole 'nother thread. Unfortunately I was a weapons guy on my last ship and calling it a clip (which in the weapons world is something completely different) was like blasphemy to my gunners mates.

Maybe it he was armed with a Garand, then it would have been a clip?;)
