757 Lands on Taxiway at EWR & Pilots Bolt

Not exusing what happened, but EWR doesn't have any taxiway edge lighting. I don't think there are any other major US airports that can say that (but I'm not positive).

Combine that with a relatively challenging circling approach and I can certainly see how it could happen.

Easy you just don't flare as much...
 
Wow. Glad it wasn't SWA or FDX. Otherwise this thread would be 169 posts long by now.

Oh it will be up there when said and done. Most posts will be about the Captain being a typical scab and the FO probably being an unqualified intern minority with 1500 hours. :rolleyes: Note post earlier. Circling to 29 definetly is a challenging profile especially from 4R and I've probably done it over 100 times. Yeah this incident was ugly, but I wouldn't trust the words of any publication that has a Page Six and Victoria Gotti as a part-time columnist...
