I was totally deflated yesterday of the news from the DOJ. So, what's next?
1. Goes to court...merger denied
2. Parties get together with divestures...slots, routes ,spliting up US east and west and they individually merge with either AMR and another carrier..etc
3. Goes to court and approved with minor changes.
After listening to Robert Crandel on Bloomsburg this morning, I was happy to hear him slam the DOJ in them approving other carrrier mergers and cutting the legs off of AMR and LCC. Airlines are not a utility, but our industry is constanly treated as such....chime in!
