When did Virgin get E-190's and what would they be doing parked by Millionair in ANC Friday night/Saturday morning?

Are they operating a charter outfit or are they up to something else?? Word is they were not using their normal call sign, it was something else!

Anybody!

LOL, I was going to answer their question, then read your response. Funny!!

It's ok, it's a 190 on a ferry flight down under for Virgin Australia aka Virgin Blue. We have about 20 of them in addition to the 73's and A330's.

It could be a virgin blue E170. Compass just bought 6 of them and we were told the first is one its way now through china russia and alaska.

What's the deal with the company name? Is it Virgin Blue or Virgin Australia? I see both names, but it's the same carrier right?

Virgin Blue is under going a bit of a reinvention to take on Qantas. Part of the change is a name change to Virgin Australia. It only happened last week, so people are still getting used to it.
