Typical FI reaction. The fact is, they earn more money. Why, because their whole culture supports labor and unions, that's why. Why do Americans earn less? Because America is full of dolts who think that millionaires are the top life form, and when they hear about Canadians who earn more, they attack Canada.

I know what you mean, Europe and Canada (somewhat) have a different perspective. I always laugh when people attack the "Old Europe" ie France, England, Germany....

Witness what the "threat" of a BA Cabin Crew strike did. They resolved that rather quickly.

Again, I like Canada. esp Montreal and Quebec City. Just wicked cold.

And I thought the US government was ripping me off with taxes. DAMN!

It's socialism vs. capitalism

US Regional pilots are suckers?

Why do Air Canada Jazz pilots make more money than US regional pilots?
Why is first year pay for an FO 35K at Jazz?
Why do US regional pilots work for peanuts?
Why don’t all regional pilots in the US “call in sick” all on the same day?
Regional pilots in the US need to fight for better pay

Part of the reason is Canada is more of a socialist country where workers rights, pay, pensions, etc get more respect. In the good ol' USA there has been this unquestionable faith in the free market since the fall of the Soviet Union and un unfettered belief that unchecked capitalism will acheive nirvana for all. Yeah...it's getting out of hand. Only now are people starting to realize that while the overall GDP is up, it doesn't help when 98% of that growth goes to the owners and CEOs and your white collar financial analyst job that paid $80,000 can easily be done in India for $15,000. It's a good thing Bush will be forced to leave in two years. If he weren't we'd be well on our way to bringing back sweatshops and child labor while those who complained would be crucified as socialist. And I voted for Bush...twice. Dumbest thing I ever did.

Us fellow republicans would like to thank you for you previous support and look forward to you keeping the next generation of Clintons out of the White House. They're the reason we're in this mess.

The law and the administrations in Europe favor unions.

As it should be here.

But it makes it hard for "The Haves" to have MORE with that kind of mentality.

Canada is like the attic. You forget it's up there but when you go up there, you find some weird stuff.

I can't believe anyone would support Hillary for the simple reason that would be 24 years of nothing but Bushs and Clintons in the White House if she won. Maybe she'd get lucky and get voted in a second term and we could make it 28. Maybe Jeb could run and then Chelsea would be old enough.... Does anyone else think this is BAD for a republic? Why isn't O'Reily talking about this??

They don't necessarily make more money. What are Jazz's workrules like?
Why is first year pay for an FO 35K at Jazz?
Probably because the junior CA is a May 99 hire.
Why do US regional pilots work for peanuts?
Not all US regional pilots work for peanuts. We're all underpaid, but some exchange lower hourly rates hoping for an upgrade faster than 8 years.
Why don’t all regional pilots in the US “call in sick” all on the same day?
Because that would be an illegal job action.

No doubt, especially in light of Age 65. Some of us are fighting right now...

You forgot to count the years that Bush Sr. was the VP. But anyways, the Clintons lived off Reagonomics and took all the credit for it. They allowed bin Laden to bomb US Embassies, the USS Cole and did nothing about it. Dubya may not be the best, and he may have altered our views to carry out a personal vendetta, but at least someone finally had the balls to do something.
