I got a show time in 23 hours.

If I sleep now, I'm screwed.

Tell me a joke, give me a riddle or a puzzle.

Call me names. Just don't let me fall asleep.

I can't handle any more tsunami on TV.

I have to catch a red-eye in 18 hours so I can report in 24.. I would love to fall a sleep now and sleep through the day!

Tylenol PM my friend

Whenever I have *at least* 12 hours to kill and I need to sleep I'll take a couple Tylenol PM.

Those and a couple earplugs...works pretty good.

Good luck.

Welcome to the world of international long haul flying Mar. It sure is fun battling fatigue and trying to sleep when you are normally awake; fly when you are normally supposed to be sleeping; and eat at irregular intervals.

Where are you ? Is the sun up ? or is it night ?

Since you still have 23 hours to go my recommendation is alcohol, loud music, and women :D . Got to keep the image up you know.

Alcohol, loud music and women

Heh, well I already checked off one of those. I shared a bottle of wine at dinner and I think that's part of my problem.

Got back to the room and made myself a cup of that instant crap coffee...

Maybe I'll have another one before too long.

It's midnight local in Shanghai. Rainy. Blah.

One down, two to go

Well since you've got the alcohol part taken care of, we'll just have to find you some loud music and women. Sorry not familiar with the good places in Shanghai. I can give you some good pick-up lines in Mandarin though. Try these and let me know if you get slapped in the face or not :D .

Ni hen piaoliang = You are very beautiful

Jintian wanshang yo kung ma ? = Are you free tonight ?

Yao bu yao hwei chu wo-de fangjian ? Want to go back to my room ?

Wo hwei jyau ni yingwen = I'll teach you English

You'll have to take it from there. Chinese girls just love to learn English though :p .

You so funny.

Thanks for those...too bad I'm leaving!

I'm guessing you didn't learn those key phrases in a 'traditional' classroom.

P.S. I've done a little commercialing on EK. First class operation. Two thumbs up the whole way.

You can save them for the next time you are in Shanghai or other parts of China.

Thanks for the support and complements on EK. It sure is a whole different world from the domestic U.S. carriers.

Hope I've helped you stay awake a little while longer.

TP

P.S. sending you a PM

Indoor gokarts - - ask the concierge, the taxi fare should be under 3 bucks.
