Shortly after taking delivery of our 400th Boeing 737 last Thursday, CEO Jim Parker climbed aboard and announced plans to add new nonstop flights and enhance existing nonstops in many of our markets. Jim made the announcement at New York"s La Guardia airport, where our newest jet was flown for a media event. The aircraft was then christened at a Headquarters event on Friday.

"Southwest Airlines is accepting delivery of several new aircraft this fall which will be utilized to support this tremendous growth," Jim said. The 18 new and added flights are, beginning September 15:

Why would we land a 737-700 at LGA to announce a new service..?
