This is the interview stuff posted in the company website.
It is truly the way they look at the interview process.
No tricks or BS.
1. Do your homework!
Know something about the department/position in which you want to apply.
2. Show up on time for the interview!
We are a scheduled airline. Tardiness is not accepted at work or at the interview. If your are not familiar with the location of the interview, call for directions and/or make a trial run. This will allow you to leave ample time in order to get to the location on the day of your interview. One less thing to worry about!!
3. Nice, neat appearance!
Most entry-level positions are uniformed ones, but there are grooming standards. Maintain a neat appearance. Remember...first impressions do count!
(Tip: Don't show up for your interview dressed too casual.)
4. Remove foreign objects from your mouth!
Don’t chew gum, tobacco, candy, etc. during the interview!
5. Catch all your Zzzz’s!
Get a good night's rest before the day of your interview.
The more prepared and relaxed you are the less stressful the interview will be.
6. Listen, Listen, Listen!
Don’t become too laid back. Listen to what the interviewer is asking for.
7. Be specific!
When responding to a question, give concise, work-related situations, actions and results that answer the questions.
(Inside Tip: Don’t try and tell the interviewer what you think he/she wants to hear!)
8. Think about your answers!
Don’t be afraid to take a minute to think about your situation and formulate a well-thought-out answer. Don’t think that you have to answer every question as a comedian.
(Inside Tip: One downfall is not knowing how to end a story and finding yourself going on-and-on-and-on saying nothing.)
9. Maintain good eye contact!
Don’t let your eyes wander around the room or focus on the floor. Pay attention to the speaker. Make eye contact with the interviewer(s) while answering questions.
10. Don’t go away mad!
Make sure your questions are answered!
(Inside Tip: Most people forget what they wanted to ask by the end of the interview, so don’t be afraid to write down your questions before hand. Then refer to your notes afterwards.)
While this is not all there is to the pilot interviews, alot of what they say here is used through out the company.
I just thought it might help to get a general idea.
Also, the posted mins are just that..Mins.
As the market becomes more competitive, the "real" numbers are going to go up.
