I think that external options will exist in the future.
IIRC, the rumor is 2-4 this go and then another 10ish in 2008. Last I heard, no pool. The next go will have new interviews. Don't take this as gospel...just the latest unofficial rumor mongering.

A friend of mine has an interview on Monday morning with SWA. She's pretty darned excited! :beer:

She's the BEST we have and I hate to see her go! :crying:

That leaves 4-6 from around 90+ externals.

Does anybody know what the competitive requirements were for externals to get an interview? Have they contacted all the externals for interviews or are they still in the process of doing that? Thanks

Over 100 external applicants, weeded down to X for phone interviews. Now at approx 24 for one on one interviews first 2 weeks of Dec.

ROUGHLY:

Experience: 3-5 years Dispatch experience at a major carrier.
Licensing/Certification: Must be a licensed Aircraft Dispatcher under Federal Guidelines.

College degree preferred
