I just got to put a plug in for these nice folks.

Was winging my way North out of Florida and used Airnav to find some cheap fuel. Came up with Baxley, GA (BHC) at $1.90/gal for Avgas. (regular price going to $1.99 after Sun-n-fun)

Just caught them before closing. They are running a $1.70/gal on the Sun-'n-fun dates and are setting up a tent near the fuel pump for burgers and dogs on the grill (I believe the food will be free).

Nice little airport Near Alma VOR and just off V157.

Clean FBO, clean restrooms, Moon Pies and ice cold Coca-cola were there when I stopped. Twenty five gallons of 100LL and I didn't even put a dent in a Franklin. As far as I was concerned, I just found 5,000ft of heaven here on earth. Nice to have some good news.

Move to top.

Another shameless plug to use

www.airnav.com

and support FBO's that aggresively price to get your business. I saved about $80.00 going from PA-TN-GA-FL-GA-NC-PA (17.5 hrs of flight time in one week). I'd much rather give $1.90/gal to nice folks at Baxley and $2.25 to the nice people at Shiloh (Reidsville, NC) than waste $3.55/gal at Signature and get attitude for not bringing in a G-IV.
