Isnt 2000 hours kind of steep to fly C182 and B58? Pays okay though...taxpayers money.

Where's the job? MGM?

Thats almost tempting if it weren't for the 24/7 thing. 60k for a Baron though, wow.

How many times has this job been posted? I bet when AL state budget cuts suface, this job will disappear. $60k to fly a BE-58 is super.

BE 58 Pilot in ALABAMA

It is amazing what people say with out knowing anything about the subject. I know for a fact that this job last year the pliot flew less than 200 hours. He had weekends off, He spent less than 15 days away from home, holidays off and 30 days a year of vacation and he made over 60k a year, great medical and retirement. He fly the Citation once in a while or as much as he likes to. The 24 hours on call is a requirement by he had a 48 hour respond time for any unscheduleflights. The job is very secure, the state owns the aircraft and the position is funded in part by FEMA. His salary will max out at $75K in 5 years or less. Next time please do a little research before posting false facts about a job.
