TLC is the way to go. Fuel on arrival or day before departure, corporate comes last on the fuelers list, but TLC does fairly well at getting you some Jet A.

MAHO area is fine, food is descent, resturant upsatirs and across from the casino has the best ceaser I have ever had.

Open air, over water stages, adult establishment at end of the street at MAHO is worth the visit, mostly eastern EUR, and Russian gals. (at least that is what I have heard).

That's right, amigos.....one stop shopping......great info that is critical to ops as well as where to go to get some good eye candy.....of the planes over the beach, of course.

Any more info.........keep it comin'

Great Place!

I like to stay at the Esmerelda Beach Resort on Orient Beach. Coco's Beach cafe on the beach at the Esmerelda has great beach food, cold drinks, and is fairly close to Grand Case, home to many terrific French restaraunts. Pretty low key place, Orient is a "clothing optional" beach however unless you "hang out" at the far end, most are wearing at least something. Jet skis, kite surfing, sail boards, parasailing, Hobicats, ete... are all available. Simpsons Bay is a great place to rent jet skis, you can take them out into the ocean too. There is a place to water ski as well. Marigot is where all of the good shopping is. There is a ferry over to Anguilla for those that will be there longer than a few days, $12.00 US one way and they have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world!

For the biz end of things, Arindell is a great handler. They are constructing a new FBO for biz aircraft. Call Henke and tell him it's your first time there. he will tell you what you need as far as GEN DECs ete.. Make sure to call ahead and get parking reservations!!!! If you go at the end of December, the beginning of high season, parking is VERY limited.

US dollars and EUROs both work there. AMX and VISA/MC are accepted at most places. I'll second a cold beer at MAHO Beach, Sunset Beach Bar is kind of fun. Just a little distracting seeing the topless women on short final.

Good luck and have a great time!

Have a great time in St. Maartin. I owned a time share there and went there for my honeymoon. The Royal Islander was where I used to stay.

However since this is a small island perhaps rent a jeep or car for the day and go all over the island. Bars are great, Orient Beach is clothing optional. There are some great gambling spots too, if that's what you like. Enjoy your trip.

TLC is definitely the handler you'd want to use. Forget Arindell, they deserve the fantastic competition they now get from TLC. It couldn't have happened to lazier and more non-responsive guys!!!!

AvMgr has that right, Sheldon and company left brand X to start TLC and have been doing a better job ever since. Spend your money wisely and use TLC, you get WAY more than you pay for!!!!!!
