simple question - headset TSOs

Do you have to use TSOed headsets and associated equipment on Part 135 or 121 flying jobs? Always/sometimes/never? Wondering because if I ever get a good heaset I don't want to find out I have to get another one for a certain job because the one I already have doesn't have a TSO. Thanks.

Sorry for typo in subject line! Tried to change it but I can't.

In regards to Part 121 you *have* to have TSO'd headset I can't answer for 135. My company (Part 121 regional) does not police this and many folks have for example Lightspeeds which don't have a TSO but I know some airlines do police this internally and of course you have to remember any individual FAA inspector could always say something AND violate you.
