61.55(d)(4)....."present application to an FAA FSDO or Examiner..."
Anybody obtained their SIC type rating with an Examiner instead of the FSDO? Can any old DE do this, or does the Examiner need to be qual'ed in type? (I wouldn't think so, there's really no test administered.) Thanks.

I got an SIC TYPE by just going to the fsdo and showing the tng paperwork (ground and flight) the tng was with my company check- airman, be sure that you go to your company POI if this is the case the poi was type in the plane....
hope this helps...

Thanks for the reply, got it figured out, FSDO or DE, either one works, DE does not need to be typed in that plane.
