Anyone with experience operating with Sentient; I have a question for you. Their website says that pax do not pay for empty legs. Does this mean the 135 operator pays for it?

Nope. We got paid for every leg we flew for them. The customers must pay more than they would if they just chartered on their own. That's all I can think of because we did do a good chunk of deadheading for them.

Sentient charges a rate of near double what each leg would normally cost on the open market. That is how they don't charge directly for deadhead legs. For example, I believe a light jet goes for nearly $2100 an hour where the operator might charge in the 1200 to 1500 range.
