The Portsmouth, NH GPS intersects are due to the childhood home of Mel Blanc who passed away just before they converted the Airbase up there. Mel Blanc, of course, was the voice of tweety bird, sylvester, and every cartoon I learned flying from.

The naming in honor stuff seems to be a fairly simple process that can be started from a local FSDO. The ALEWS intersection on the way into Cross Keys, NJ (17N) is named for Al Lewis, the owner and operator of that airport for as long as anyone could remember. He passed away and the local FSDO got permission to rename the intersection.

Nashville has the Guitar Arrival with Pickin and Grinnin (remember Hee Haw) as fixes. Charlotte has the Hornet Arrival with references to the sports teams and Orlando has an arrival with credits to Micky, Minnie, Pluto and the rest of the gang.
