Curious if anyone else has been putting their MBPr thru the TSA x-ray machine and getting away without them demanding it's removal? I've done it twice now and they've said nothing.. I had someone tell me the Air is small enough to go thru, but I wasn't sure if the MBPr was... any official word on that?

I think the determining factor is if there are moving parts inside. Thats why Ipads and Ipods can stay in your luggage.

in which case since these new retina Mac's are 100% solid state, they're good, right?

I would agree, but this is the TSA, who make threat profile assessments based on whether I'm in uniform or not. Uniform? My campbells soup is not a threat. No uniform? Confiscate my soup. Terrorists haven't figured out how to copy a pilot uniform yet.

So I would just leave it in there and see what they say.
