Delta warns non-revs out of Santiago of high cargo loads which often results in the bumping of said passengers. It happened to a friend of mine a couple of years ago. I can't add anything else.

Full Boat to South America

Anything going into South America is going to be PACKED. Check about going in the off season. I went to Bolivia in SEPT. and actually got to sit in 1st (which is what I listed for) on AA as an employee. If you want the jumpseat, you could try LAN if they'll have you.
