Ive heard there is a new faa ruling. A 135 company cant hire a contractor if they didnt go to recurrent on their 135 certificate.

So even if the contract pilot is current and qualified they cant contract to a 135 company.

Any more info on this?

I think it is a bit much....

But hey I know of a company that maintains 2 pilots per airplane and they have constant disasters due to minimum staffing. This will force the company to hire more pilots.

But in the mean time...it is going to be rough.
