I can't imagine that NJ is struggling, but like the rest of the population the wild growth is no longer happening and without growth fracs will stagnate. Any stagnated company will appear to be struggling. I still believe that by the end of next year NJ will be looking at their "industry leading contract" and wondering how they are going to pay for it while the company simply maintains status quo until things turn around. That is when the furloughs will begin and the test of the new in-house union will occur.

What happens is we're being paid "what the job pays"......it's the cost of doing business. The problem is that managment really sucks the money out of a company for drasticlly minimal amount of work. And that isn't just at the fractionals, every large business suffers the disease of corporate greed and stupidity. I find it ironic that these comapnies are managed by guys, who somehow earned a Mba, and the planes are flown by people who don't need more than a HS diploma. As soon as management either does some work, or gives back some of their bull$hit high salary, FLOPS will never work.

Management dropped the ball and $hit all over the employees.....now they get a union and they deserve it. So it's managments fault and THAT is undisputable......

I started my rotation in KPHL 6 legs later ended in PHKO no ferries. Pretty good.

Check PM's bud.

And Happy Thanksgiving to all. Even the usual suspects.

Hey B19,
Why don't you worry about yourself and your job??

I realize you hate NJA and it's pilots, but you haven't driven FLOPS into the ground YET so don't you have something else that needs doing?

I see you are branching out with your FUD, stick to something you know about!! We don't need your hate directed at us.

Sorry your life sucks, but we can't fix it for you.

That's the funniest thing I've read today.

I haven't worked for a company with a union for years and by coincidence, it's the longest stretch I've ever seen without the threat of a furlough or layoff.

I've seen the light.. and it's clear you would rather live with turmoil. Some people are just gluttons for punishment. :D

Please don't insult NetJets management by comparing them to you and your failed attempts at breaking a union. Maybe someday you will see that there is more than one way to skin a cat, or maybe you already see it and are just getting paid to act this way. Wishing for furloughs and paycuts is a low thing to do and if you can collect a paycheck for doing that job more power to you. If I were in your shoes I would be spending more time trying to find a way to make your company better for everybody.

You speak about greed in the pilot force, I see greed in you and your posts. You are willing to tear down a company just to do your master's bidding. Greed for the paycheck you get allows you to do that job. The pilots of Flight Options only want their piece of the pie that they have deserved for a long time. The management at NetJets was at this point and they took the road less traveled. I doubt if they would even consider the other path, the break employees down path, now.

You choose your way and see what it gets. I will take RTS and NJASAP anyday. We work together and it drives you crazy because your old way of thinking doesn't apply. Whatever happens at NetJets we, management and NJASAP do it together. You would be amazed at the resources you have in the pilots of Flight Options. But then again if you allowed them to work with instead of against them you wouldn't have a job.

Happy Thanksgiving

(I can post my name, if you can't don't bother to respond)

The piece of the pie that they deserve is exactly whatever they want from the company management and stockholders created.

Pilots are employees with special skills that are no different than mechanics and the beancounters. They have an equal stake as anybody else does. You want a piece of that management pie? Go and become one.

Warren Buffet created his fortune because he's smarter than you. Go and pick on his fortune.. he has deeper pockets. but whatever you do, don't put your coworkers at risk.

You can't admit they are smarter than you. Instead, you choose to become part of a union and force them to "spread the wealth" instead of finding a job were you can earn whatever you want to without forcing your will on others that don't want you via a union.

An obvious democrat.

the problem lies with management and their gestapo tactics. Number one priority for management is the get as much money as they can for the minimal amount of work. Regardless if that causes the employees and the company to go under.

Management takes takes takes, the reason a union is there is because management asked for one. If they paid what the job is worth, if they gave the health insurance that is required and if they gave a work environment that isnt dangerous, there would be no need for labor unions.

The lay-off are a direct result of management destroying the company. That is fact and it is undisputable.

we can do this back and forth all day long, FACT is management is killing FLOPS......no one else to blame. FACT undisputable.

keep it up.....i can do this all day long.

And doctors and lawyers.

Key point in negotiations is to try and set the bar lower. What B19 is doing is trying to reduce our self worth so that we accept less in our professional lives.

I just saw a show on CNBC about how the rich are getting richer. The only way Netjets would be struggling during these times is because rich people are turning to full ownership.

Here is the difference.

I flew this past weekend ... the most-loved person in the city where I live, and his family. If I made a mistake and let any harm come to them .... I would become famous ... the most Hated person in the city ... I will be on TV radio and newspapers ... and my family would have to move to a different city.

This can not be said of the bean counter. While an honorable profession, there is (with all respect) a difference.

19 is not good enough to do our job and be trusted with such responsibility ... So he flies a desk where the damage he does is limited.

Management has a lot to do (they never do it). They oversee the whole company, etc etc etc......

no one dies if they make the wrong decision.....yet they get paid so much more. No wonder we have labor unions.

Nah. Dr.'s and Lawyers require a little more congnitive thinking than us.
