Well, with all the Independence guys and gals, furloughed major pilots, and those of us in the regional arena disgruntled with what this career will never be in the airlines anymore, I wonder if that "shortage" will ever come?

Well, if enough people said "no" to a job offer and stated the domicile system as their reason, it might get some attention. I do know of a few people who've already turned the job offer and said as much.

But it does seem likes there's a pretty steady stream of people willing to accept one of the 5 domiciles currently in place.

So, the company can require you to report at a/the satellite, as long as it is within 90 miles of your house. But what if it is farther than 90 miles, but still closer (as in you'd have to drive by it to get to the domicile)? Can you volunteer to report there anyway?

The criteria for a satellite is that it must be within 45 miles of the domicile airport. You have no choice in where you report to.
