Mini 500 Helicopter

Anyone build or fly a Mini 500? I've heard there have been many problems with the 2 cycle rotax locking up. Lokks like a cool Heli but I'm sure there's a reason freshly completed models are selling for only $10k

There have been a number of crashes of the mini 500. Ranging from lack of experience to some design/building problems. Last year at Oshlosh there was a company that is doing mods to the kit and also offering a small turbine to the kit. Looks like a big improvement over the original. However I cant think of the name. If you are interested a friend has a mini kit that has hardly been touched and is looking to move it out. He has just way to many other toys to get to the copter.
