Looking at taking the girlfriend to MEM this weekend, can anyone recommend a hotel with a crew rate somewhat near the "night scene" and also if there are hotels within walking distances of said "night scenes".

try Holiday Inn Exp/select? cross st from famous Peabody..within 2 block walk of Beale Street.

I was thinking I might stay at the Courtyard on Nonconnah (by Pinnacle HQ I think) and just taking a taxi down to Beale St.

keep it in midtown, lots O fun places, French Quarter on Madison a nice place, great resturant just down the street with the best beer on the planet, Boscos, http://www.boscosbeer.com/memphis/story/index.htm, hope this helps.
